Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Review

It is official, I am declaring Urban Decay the queen of eyeshadow. Urban Decay have the most buttery, blendable, pigmented shadows in the market in my opinion – including the mattes – and the Naked Basics 2 palette does not disappoint. The palette is the second offering by Urban Decay in their basics line and I think this may be my favourite.

The palette is mostly cool toned browns and taupes, which appeals to me immensely. There is one slightly shimmery highlight shade, Skimp, and the rest are matte. I like to blend Frisk across my lid and then pop Cover in the crease for a natural, matte daytime look. For an evening look I like Primal on the lid with Undone smudged into the lash line. This little compact palette is great for everyday use and has every matte brown shade you would ever need in your collection. Stark is the only shade that doesn’t really hit the mark for me as it is pretty much the same shade as my eyelid. The shadows overall very good quality and easy to use. This has been my go to palette for the past month, so much so I’ve ditched my much loved Naked 1 palette in favour.

  1. I have this palette and I really love it! I already have hit pan on Skimp lol. I actually tend to use it as a base a lot because it blends into my very fair skin and Stark of course looks darker on me quite noticeably lol. I heard this is supposed to go with the Naked 2 palette. I am hoping to pick that one up soon as well. 🙂 x
